Finance Coordinator

Role Overview

We're looking for a trustworthy, detail-oriented accounting leader who can bring clarity to our finances, keep us compliant, and help us build clean systems as Adullam Academy scales.

Treats money, records, and compliance as sacred trust. Honest about what you know and what you don't. Protects the organization by doing things properly, not vibes-based finances.

Systems and detail oriented

Enjoys clean records, clear categories, and consistent processes. Can take existing transaction tracking and translate it into proper bookkeeping. Cares about accuracy: receipts, invoices, payroll records, documentation.

Comfortable learning and applying knowledge

Will research tools, compare options (e.g., QuickBooks vs Sage), and recommend what fits. Understands that early-stage operations are a training ground. Doesn't freeze from fear of mistakes, but doesn't act recklessly either.

What success looks like

We have a clear, up-to-date view of income, expenses, and cash position. Books are organized enough that tax filing and incorporation steps are straightforward. We can produce simple, reliable financial reports when needed. Financial processes feel lighter for the team because the system is clear.

Working Style

Consultant/part-time; you own the accounting domain, recommending the path and guiding implementation. We expect proactive communication and someone who is values-aligned: a Christian who is Kingdom-focused and cares about impact and excellence.

Compensation

$200-$250/month

Rate and cadence agreed upfront per engagement. Compensation will grow as revenue scales.

Areas you may oversee

What this role covers

Basic bookkeeping setup and ongoing entry (using an accounting tool).

Expense categorization and documentation.

Payroll/contractor payment tracking and record-keeping.

Tax readiness (personal business income phase now, and corporate filings post-incorporation).

Incorporation support: helping us understand the financial/tax implications and what needs to be filed.
